Coming out of the Technical University of Munich is a awesome hack using the Kinect system to render a simulation of what the inside of your body would look like. It works by first capturing your body layout, then simulating a skeletal system overlay.

It’s possible for you to move around, jump and spin and have the Kinect sensor be fast enough to keep the overlay accurate. Although you yourself can’t get a hold of this hack, you can watch the video embedded below that shows it in action.

The images were promptly posted and so they begin to pop-up all over the Internet. The important note to take away from this is the fact that Microsoft is actually testing the device in the wild. Betas are important to fix issues that may not be noticeable in the labs until they are used at home in a living room setting. Check out the photos below.

Kinect will launch along-side a dashboard update for the xbox 360, this all happening sometime in November. Some beta testers decided to leak some off-screen pictures and send them in to Joystiq. Of coarse, Joystiq was happy to post them and now they’re all over the Internet. Not too much is shown and the changes are minor at most, but you can see how the dashboard has changed to accommodate Kinect.

Menus now appear more flat and several icons and graphics reflect instructions that correlate with the use of Kinect. Check them out below(before they we have to remove them).

We’re getting closer to getting our hands on(pun intended) Kinect and really seeing what it’s made of. Up until now, Microsoft has not let much loose about how well Kinect can perform in-terms of reaction time or usability. With the recent public patent all over the news and the cat out of the bag that Kinect will have American sign-language capabilities, Kinect must, to some point, be accurate in determining minor movements.

Sorry, no video to report yet but Destructiod did write-up a lengthy post on thier experience while playing with the dashboard. Go check it out.

If you’ve been browsing the game marketplace from the Xbox 360 dashboard anytime in the past few days, you may have came across some game demos that have caught your eye. Apparently some Kinect demos are showing up for download and even go as far as letting you download the huge 1 gigabyte files only to give an error message when trying to run it.

That’s right, you won’t even be able to see the game start-up. An error message appears when selecting the ‘play game’ button. Why Microsoft has let the items appear, who knows.

The Xbox 360 gaming world has once again got something to look forward to, the new title in the Call of Duty series that has already been referred to as the most realistic first person shoot’em up game to date.

The previous title Modern Warfare 2 left gamers queuing in order to be able to get their hands on the game and with the new version of the game set to offer more of a shudder than its previous title, gamers are already looking to secure the release date off work, school and any other appointments that are going to interfere with their opportunity to get the game on its release date.

An early look at the game sees gamers now able to battle their way through a number of locations and timescales, offering more game play as well as the chance to once again spend time shooting zombie soldiers after the creators announced that the huge hit mini game will be back in operation within the new title.

Call of Duty: Black Ops has had a pre release price placed on it of £54.99 but with interest in the game so high, many online sites are offering potential customers the chance to get their hands on the game for a reduced rate as long as they pre order the game before the beginning of November.

The official release date is set for 9th November 2010 and with nothing else been released that is even close to competing with the interest of the game, it looks like the Xbox 360 world is going to have a new record selling game.

It is highly recommended that anyone who is wanting to get their hands on this game, pre order Call of Duty Black Ops , meaning that you can get the game not only at a reduced price but also have the game sent to your house for delivery on the day of release.

Okay, it’s not going to easy having to wait for the mailman to get to your house but with the expected interest in the game set to offer you nothing but queues and delay on getting a copy of the game, you need to think wise and wait from the comfort of your home rather than from a sleeping bag outside your local retailer.

If you are going to look to pre order the game, it’s highly recommended that you search about for the best possible deal in order to get the best deal but with prices already as low as £37.99 (taken from xbox360gamescheap.net) you should be looking to get your hands on your copy as soon as possible.

Gaming has done tremendously well over the last decade and some huge improvements have been made. Xbox 360 Kinect is one of those milestones that allows us to take something that was thought to just be for fun and make it so much more. Here are five unique ways Kinect can be used:

Indoor Running – It’s way too hot outside, or it’s raining heavily. What to do? Kinect could allow a full on cardio experience including monitoring pace, heart rate, speed and all the while, providing a visual experience so that things stay interesting.

Sign Language – Kinect Could pave the way for a new a unique style of learning sign language. Making the cost so much cheaper than hiring a tutor.

Movie Creation – Have you ever wanted to star in a movie? Why not allow Kinect to monitor your voice and movement while it feeds you the lines to say. Finished movies could be offered online to share with friends and family.

Home Theater Optimization – Input the size and shape of your room and allow Kinect to show you where the perfect spot to sit is.

Child Monitoring – Tell your kids to play in front of the TV and let Kinect alert you of aggressive movement or when your children have left the room.
